Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SubSift ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
SubSift is a subscription tracking tool that helps individuals manage recurring subscriptions, free trials, billing reminders, and shared subscription costs in one place. Features include:
- Subscription tracking with renewal alerts
- Trial expiry reminders
- Co-payer (split billing) management
- Payment confirmation and dispute tracking
- Shared-with-me dashboard for co-payers
The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified, expanded, or discontinued at our discretion.
3. Account Registration & Email Verification
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- A one-time verification code (OTP) is sent to your email address upon registration. You must verify your email before accessing the Service's main features. OTP codes expire after 5 minutes.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
- One person may not maintain more than one free account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, systems, or networks.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or disruptive data.
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialise the Service without our written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Submit false or misleading payment confirmations in the co-payer system. Doing so may result in immediate account suspension.
5. Co-Payer & Split Billing Feature
SubSift allows subscription owners ("Owners") to add co-payers to track shared subscription costs. The following terms apply to this feature:
- No payment processing. SubSift does not process, hold, transfer, or facilitate actual money payments. It is a record-keeping and reminder tool only. All actual payments between parties occur entirely outside the Service.
- Co-payer email verification. When an Owner adds a co-payer by email, SubSift sends a verification link to that address. Co-payer reminders are only sent to verified email addresses.
- Payment confirmation. Co-payers may mark their share as paid within the Service. This is a self-reported status and does not constitute proof of payment. Owners should verify payment through their own external means.
- Disputes. If an Owner believes a payment confirmation is inaccurate, they may open a dispute. Disputes are informational only; SubSift cannot adjudicate financial disagreements between parties. SubSift is not liable for any financial loss arising from disputed or unconfirmed payments.
- Nudge notifications.SubSift may send automated reminder emails to co-payers before a subscription renewal. By adding a co-payer, the Owner confirms they have the co-payer's consent to receive such emails.
- Co-payer accounts.Co-payers added to a subscription do not need a SubSift account to receive email reminders. If they register, they can view the shared subscription in their "Shared with Me" dashboard.
6. Subscription Plans and Billing
SubSift may offer free and paid plans. Paid plan pricing, billing cycles, and included features are described on the pricing page. All fees are quoted in Philippine Peso (₱) unless otherwise stated.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks within the Service are the property of SubSift or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Your subscription data belongs to you. By using the Service, you grant SubSift a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
SubSift does not guarantee the accuracy of renewal alerts or co-payer notifications. Technical delays, email delivery issues, or system maintenance may affect notification timing. You remain solely responsible for managing your own subscription renewals.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SubSift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
SubSift is not liable for any financial disputes, missed payments, or losses arising from the co-payer or split billing feature. The Service records information; it does not enforce payment obligations between users.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to SubSift in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, with or without notice, including for submitting false payment confirmations or misuse of the co-payer feature. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Philippines.
